Boston Police Attends 9/11 Ceremony at the Massachusetts State House

BPD will #NeverForget

Mayor Wu and Commissioner Cox were proud to be part of the ceremony at the Massachusetts State House this morning where the names of the more than 200 Bay State residents whose lives were taken on September 11, 2001 were read aloud by dignitaries and family members of those who were killed.

Later in the Day, the Mayor and the Commissioner again joined Governor Healy, Lt. Governor Driscoll and loved ones of those lost on 9/11 to lay a wreath or a rose at the Garden of Remembrance in the Boston Public Garden. The Garden was dedicated in 2004.

The Boston Police Honor Guard, Gaelic Column and our newest class of academy recruits were honored to take part in today's ceremonies.

Our hearts are with the loved ones of all of the nearly 3000 individuals who were killed 23 years ago today. We will Never Forget.
