At NYU, outreach and engagement efforts have always been a pillar of our mission, and 2024 is shaping up to be no exception. In spring and summer this year, NYU students, faculty, and staff from across the university once again united in a shared commitment to give back to the local community. In keeping with NYU's founding mission of creating a university "in and of the city," NYUers contributed through food donations, fundraising for nonprofits, hosting free public events, and a range of outreach initiatives. These efforts highlight the university's unwavering dedication to uplifting local individuals and organizations.
