Welcome to the LBPD Blotter!

As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department's homepage and on the "News" tab of the Department's website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

Here's a recap of incidents occurring last night:

  • No-hit Shooting - 16th Street and Judson Avenue: On July 7, 2024 officers were dispatched to the area of 16th Street and Judson Avenue regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers located evidence that a shooting had occurred. No injuries were reported. Suspect information and motive for the shooting are being investigated. The investigation is ongoing.

Great job officers! Last night officers safely took a gun off the streets.
  • On July 6, 2024, at approximately 6:25 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the in the 2100 block of Locust Avenue. A male adult suspect was determined to be a prohibited possessor and was arrested.
  • On July 6, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers were in the area of the 2300 block of Webster Avenue when they noticed a group of vehicles and adults consuming alcohol in the parking lot of a local park. During their investigation officers located a firearm in one of the vehicles. The suspect was arrested, and officers recovered the firearm.
  • On July 6, 2024 at approximately 1:09 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle related to a person with a gun call. During the vehicle search, officers located a firearm in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested, and officers recovered the firearm.
