Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water, Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Donna Schultz

PROJECT NAME: ADL 109382

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:
Juneau, Alaska, Mendenhall River; more specifically, the physical address 3879 Killewich Drive, Juneau, Alaska 99801.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:
CRM040S066E19 Metes and bounds description within Section 19, Township 40 South, Range 66 East, Copper River Meridian, containing approximately 0.07 acres.
58.3911 N, 134.5845 W

REQUESTED ACTIVITY:
On May 24th, 2024, Donna Schultz applied for a private, non-exclusive easement for continued erosion control by placing riprap material along the riverbank for further stabilization. The new riprap material will be placed over the previously laid structure that was weakened by the glacial outburst of Suicide Basin in 2023. The project will contain a boundary of approximately 3,255 square feet.

REQUESTED TERM: 25 years

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: August 14th, 2024

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be emailed to the adjudicator below or received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at Southeast Regional Land Office, PO Box 111020, Juneau, Alaska 99811 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
