This year, the Drawing Contest focused on topic "What can I do for the environment", according to the priorities of the European Union, which emphasizes environmental care. Children from 5th and 6th grade were invited to participate. We received 226 drawings from 48 schools across 16 departments, excluding Artigas, Florida, and Treinta y Tres.

The jury consisted of three drawing teachers who teach students from 5th and 6th grade: Claudia Aitablian, Lucía Perazzo, and Alicia Spagnuolo, accompanied by Richard Empson as the representative of the European Union. The jury reviewed the 226 drawings, with each selecting ten to present to the rest of the jury, explaining their choices. After sharing their decisions, they collectively selected the ten drawings that best fit the theme. From these ten drawings, the winners and three special mentions were invited, along with their families, to the award ceremony.

The contest's winner was Mariano Pereira, a 6th-grade student from José Artigas School in Brazo Oriental, Montevideo. He received a box of pencils and markers for continued drawing, a kit with EU items such as a hat, notebook, and T-shirt, among other items, and a certificate signed by the Ambassador.

Each of them, like the winner, was invited along with their families to the Delegation for the award ceremony.
