Storm Alert - October 16, 2024 - Post Hurricane Milton

Slow improvements have been made in the Orlando and Tampa fuel markets since yesterday. One Tampa terminal remains non-operational, and open terminals are experiencing long lines at the rack during some parts of the day. Fuel in Orlando remains very tight; while fuel terminals are open and working, markets face limited supply quantities as pipeline shipments continue arriving. Although Florida's infrastructure is mostly back in operation, supply and freight capacity remain strained, with long-haul deliveries still needed to meet demand in central Florida. The market will take time to return to normal, but the path towards recovery does seem more apparent now.

As conditions remain fluid, Mansfield is maintaining Florida's Code Orange status, requiring 48-hour notice for new deliveries. Please continue to coordinate with your Mansfield representative for specific delivery needs or questions. We are working diligently to address supply challenges and will keep you informed of any further developments.

Future Storm Outlook

Mansfield is currently monitoring two tropical disturbances, one in the Caribbean and one in the Atlantic, with less than 50% formation chances over the next week. Current forecasts show the systems forming around Central America and the Virgin Islands instead of the US. Mansfield will continue to monitor the disturbance for possible developments.
