Negative Declaration

Lewis County - The Copenhagen Central School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 2024 Capital Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves planning the 2024 Capital Improvement Project (CIP) to undertake specific actions at the school campus. Proposed 2024 CIP actions include interior/exterior building renovations and site work in the form of outdoor access from the ground floor fitness room to the courtyard. Building modifications consist of roof replacement/restoration, masonry restoration (with identical materials), mechanical equipment replacement/upgrades, expansion of the main gymnasium into a gymnatorium with ADA access and relocation/upgrade of locker rooms, toilets, and storage rooms. The project is located at 3020 Mechanic Street in the Village of Copenhagen, New York.
