State Police arrest a Middletown man for for Grand Larceny and ot...

New York State Police Middletown Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) announce the arrest of William Sattler, age 64, of Middletown, New York, for Unauthorized Practice of Profession, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree.

Sattler was arrested on September 26, 2024, after State Police investigated the fraudulent use of an engineer's seal. The investigation revealed that Sattler was representing himself as an engineer. Sattler is accused of using the seal that belonged to an ex-employer to stamp engineering plans. Sattler was scheduled to appear in Orange County Court October 3, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.

State Police was assisted by Orangetown Police Department (Rockland County, New York) and City of Middletown Police Department in their investigation.
