Maine Dems Statement On Maine GOP Senate Candidate’s Election Denialism

Maine Democratic Party Executive Director Tim Grose released the following statement:

"It's no surprise that the Maine GOP's US Senate candidate features prominently in CNN's roundup of election deniers running for office in 2024.

"As the chair of the Maine Republican Party, Demi spread misinformation pushed by Donald Trump about his 2020 election loss and oversaw the proliferation of GOP candidates in Maine who have questioned or denied the results of the 2020 election, including at least two candidates for the Maine legislature known to have attended the 'Stop the Steal' rally on January 6 which ended in a violent attempt to overturn our nation's democracy and Maine's free and fair election.

"Mainers will reject the Maine GOP's extremism at the ballot box this November 5 by voting for Maine Democrats up and down the ticket."
