Houston, TX - Texas Southern University (TSU) welcomes two new dynamic leaders to its Development and Alumni Engagement Division: Shannette Prince ( SOC C/O '04), Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Fund, and Jeffrey Wallace, Executive Director of Development. Together, they bring decades of experience and innovative perspectives that will enhance TSU's efforts to strengthen alumni relations, drive philanthropy, and support the university's ambitious goals ahead of its centennial celebration in 2027.
Shannette Prince Appointed Executive Director of Alumni Engagement & Annual Fund
Shannette Prince (SOC C/O '04) brings a wealth of expertise to this role. Prince's career spans over 20 years, with experience in fundraising, community engagement, and broadcast journalism.
Prince's strengths in relationship-building and strategic development have significantly enhanced donor participation and corporate partnerships. While at Girls Inc. of Greater Houston, Prince successfully expanded the donor base and increased corporate partnerships by 40%, along with a remarkable 200% rise in volunteer engagement.
An accomplished leader in managing large-scale events and volunteer programs, she has driven success for various nonprofits across the southeastern United States. A proud alumna of Texas Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Prince is committed to empowering communities and utilizing her experience to strengthen alumni engagement at her alma mater.

Jeffrey Wallace Appointed Executive Director of Development
A proud HBCU graduate, Wallace brings nearly two decades of experience in development, sales, and executive management across both nonprofit and private sectors.
Wallace has significantly contributed to organizations such as INROADS, The Houston Area Urban League, and the Gulf Coast Community Services Association. He has successfully designed and implemented multimillion-dollar agreements and led city-wide initiatives, including Houston's American Recovery Act Grant and youth internship programs.
Wallace's dedication to community service has been recognized with multiple honors, including the INROADS Hall of Fame Award and the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award. With a passion for youth development and a deep-rooted belief in community impact, Wallace is poised to enhance TSU's philanthropic efforts as the university embarks on its next century of excellence.
