PennDOT Announces Public Meeting and Virtual Plans Display for the T-440, Section BRG, Structure Replacement Project in Shohola Township, Pike County

Dunmore, PA- PennDOT invites the public to a Public Meeting with Plans Display regarding the T-440 (Shohola Falls Road), Section BRG Structure Replacement Project.

The T-440 (Shohola Falls Road) Section BRG project involves replacing the crossing of T-440 over Balliard Creek in Shohola Township, Pike County. The project proposes to replace the existing reinforced concrete closed spandrel arch with a prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge with a concrete deck.

The new structure has been designed to improve the hydraulic performance of the original bridge and maintain the existing floodplains so as not to adversely affect adjacent property owners. Roadway improvements associated with the project include full-depth reconstruction in the vicinity of the bridge with guide rail and signage where required.

The public comment period is from September 26, 2024 - October 24, 2024. The plans display will be held online and will be available from September 26, 2024 - October 24, 2024. The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project, display and describe the planned traffic control, and receive public input regarding questions or concerns with the project.
