Kansas City area maintenance work for July 29 - Aug. 2

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from July 29 - Aug. 1. Work will take place from approximately 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the dates indicated below. All work is weather permitting.

Johnson County

  • Lane closure on EB U.S. 50 between NE 501 and NE 175 on approx. Monday, July 29.
  • Flagging operation on MO Route UU beginning near MO Route M to where state maintenance ends on approx. Monday, July 29 until Thursday, Aug. 1.

Lafayette County

  • Complete closure on MO Route P from Dover Bluff Rd. to where state maintenance ends on approx. Tuesday, July 30.

Clay County

  • Flagging operation on MO Highway 92 between Park Lane and MO Route RA on approx. Monday, July 29.
  • Bridge crew will be working on NB/SB I-435 between Pleasant Valley and Shoal Creek, while minimal traffic impacts are expected, please use caution in the area, approx. Monday, July 29 - Thursday, Aug. 1.

Ray County

  • Flagging operation on MO Route C between MO Route U and MO Route M on approx. Monday, July 29, and Tuesday, July 30.
  • Flagging operation on 10 Highway between Crooked River Bridge and MO Route A on approx. Monday, July 29 and Wednesday, July 31.
  • Flagging operation on MO Route A between MO Route E and Caldwell County Line on approx. Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, Aug. 1

All work is weather dependent. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
