UPDATES AS OF JULY 29:
Debris Cleanup Info
Since Friday, July 19, our debris removal contractor-Crowder Gulf-and the City's Public Works crews have been picking up unbagged large vegetative debris on both the east and west sides of town. Crews will continue working for several weeks to complete this effort, due to the large amount of storm debris. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates about what areas they will be in. Removal of fencing and construction debris will occur AFTER all vegetative debris has been removed.
If you have not already done so
Bagged Green Waste
AmeriWaste has completed all bagged debris pickup ahead of schedule, therefore the previously scheduled August 4 date will not be needed. All curbside waste pickup will return to normal processes beginning Monday, July 29.
Bagged Green Waste Drop-Off at Hometown Heroes Park
The bagged green waste drop-off site is no longer active as of Monday, July 29due to lack of need.
Debris Separation Guidelines
Do NOT place storm debris in the middle of the street, in stormwater drains, inlets, or ditches. Keep a 10-foot radius clearance from fire hydrants to ensure fire protection for your neighborhood. Please move your vehicle(s) off the street and into your driveway to ensure trucks can safely maneuver. No bagged food or household hazardous waste can be included with your debris.
Place your storm debris in three separate piles at your curb:
Household Trash
To keep the debris pickup process efficient, please separate your trash bins/bags and recycling bins away from any vegetative or storm debris. Garbage cans, bags, and recycling bins should be placed on the curb during your regularly scheduled AmeriWaste collection day.
