Alexandria, Va.- ABI announces that Olya Antle of Cooley LLP (Washington, D.C.) has been selected as one of ABI's "40 Under 40," ABI's award program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. The honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony on Dec. 13 during ABI's 2024 Winter Leadership Conference at The Phoenician Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Antle is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Cooley LLP, where she specializes in business restructuring and represents a broad range of actors in complex national and cross-border restructuring proceedings and financial litigation matters. She frequently advises private and public companies and their boards of directors on a wide range of solvency-related matters, working closely with her clients to develop new and creative solutions for overcoming challenges that arise in distressed situations. A frequent speaker on international insolvency topics, Antle serves as one of the International Insolvency Institute's delegates to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Working Group V, and is a member of the World Bank's Insolvency and Creditor/Debtor Regimes Task Force.
Antle was 15 years old when she first came to the U.S. through a U.S. Department of State program for high school students from former Soviet republics. Having left her entire family in Ukraine and lacking a support group or any family in the U.S., she slowly developed friendships and found mentors who were instrumental in her professional and personal journey. Within Cooley, Antle serves as a writing coach to the firm's summer associates and volunteers as a mentor through the Cooley Academy Mentoring Program (CAMP), which supports one-on-one mentorship efforts between attorneys from different practice groups. Outside of work, she serves as Newsletter Editor for ABI's International Committee, and most recently served as a member of the Executive Committee for the International Insolvency Institute (III)'s NextGen Program.
"We are honored to celebrate the exceptional leaders within the 2024 class as they continue to make a significant impact both in their practice and in their communities," said ABI Executive Director Amy Quackenboss. "As bankruptcy practice continues to evolve, this diverse collection of honorees will propel ABI and the insolvency community forward."
The "40 Under 40" winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI's current leadership. Now in its seventh year, the goal of ABI's "40 under 40" award program is not simply to create a one-time ceremony, but to fully engage those selected as future leaders in the insolvency profession and to build on the initiative each year.
