Mercy President and CEO Steve Mackin

Steve Mackin, Mercy president and CEO, was recently named to Becker's Healthcare's 2024 list of "64 CEO Influencers to Know." The recognition highlights chief executive officers at health systems who are driving transformation through innovative leadership, advocacy for public health and commitment to equity and technology.

Since assuming his role as Mercy's CEO in April 2022, Mackin has guided the organization through a period of growth and innovation. His tenure at Mercy, which began in 2017, has included leadership roles such as president of Mercy Hospital St. Louis and president of Mercy's east region, where he championed the expansion of cancer services. Before joining Mercy, he spent nearly two decades at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, rising to chief operating officer and interim president.
