Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received a copy of the credentials of Mr. Araiki Katsuhiko, the new Japanese Representative to the State of Palestine, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Shahin praised the strong relationship between Palestine and Japan, highlighting Japan's humanitarian support to Gaza and its financial aid to UNRWA. She thanked Japan for its positive votes in favor of Palestine in international forums and called on Japan to officially recognize the State of Palestine to support the two-state solution.
Dr. Shahin also provided an update on the situation in the occupied territory, stressing the importance of Japan's support for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid. The Japanese Representative reaffirmed Japan's commitment to supporting Palestine and the two-state solution.
