Public end-of-semester concert: from jazz, rock and pop to classical music

Music students from the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will be offering a stylistically diverse end-of-semester program on Wednesday, 17 July 2024 at 7 pm. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend free of charge in the large hall of the Cottbus Conservatory, Puschkinpromenade 13/14.

Following the great success of last year's concert, the joint end-of-semester concert of the classical and popular music disciplines will now take place for the second time in the impressive ambience of the Conservatory. In this concert, the highlights of the past summer semester can be experienced once again in a concentrated form as a colorful round dance of classical and popular music.

The young musicians will lead the audience through a varied program that will take them on a journey across the centuries of music history into the popular present. Soloists, chamber ensembles, the chamber orchestra and a band are looking forward to welcoming many visitors who can accompany them into the summer with their music.

Background
If you are interested in studying music, BTU is the right place for you.
The artistic-pedagogical study programme Instrumental and Vocal Performance and Teaching at the Cottbus-Sachsendorf campus leads to a Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental or Vocal Performance and Teaching in eight semesters.
The studies leading to certification in artistic education is an elite program equivalent to a master's degree. It offers artists two years of training in which they can concentrate intensively on their main subject and thus hone their personal profile.
Students from both study programs perform at the end-of-semester concert.
