Company supports crucial federal program to ensure access for all

MATTOON, Ill. - Sept. 12, 2024 - Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ: CNSL) a leading broadband and business communications provider, is calling attention to a crucial federal program that helps consumers stay connected to essential services. The Company joins national and state leaders in celebrating Digital Connectivity & Lifeline Awareness Week of Action, highlighting the federal Lifeline program, which offers a broadband discount to low-income consumers. Consolidated offers Lifeline to eligible customers for qualifying services.

As of June 2024, more than 7.7 million households nationwide subscribed to Lifeline. Through the program, qualifying customers can receive a discount of up to $9.25 per month off their monthly bill for broadband or bundled phone and broadband service, up to $5.25 for voice-only service, and up to a total of $34.25 per month for residents of qualifying Tribal lands.

In offering Lifeline to customers, Consolidated seeks to help ensure access throughout local communities in the Company's service area.

Digital Connectivity and Lifeline Awareness Week is held annually in partnership between the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) and the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates (NASUCA), with the goal of , ensuring eligible low-income households are aware of the Lifeline program, including its eligibility criteria, non-duplication rules, and annual recertification requirements, as well as to encourage enrollment.
