Published on October 15, 2024

Hon. Paul D. López, Denver Clerk and Recorder thanks Denver City Councilmember Paul Kashmann and the entire City Council for proclaiming November 5 as #DenverVotesDay.

"Our elections workers work tirelessly. They're dedicated, they're selfless, they're humble. We are very lucky to have them as our civil servants," Clerk López said in his statements to Council on Monday, October 14.

The proclamation passed City Council 12-0. Councilmember Kashmann initially sponsored the proclamation, which thanks all full-time, part-time, and temporary Denver Elections Division staff for their work to ensure an accurate, secure, and transparent 2024 General Election.

"Your words are encouraging, but they also leave us speechless," Clerk López said. "It's good to have a Council and a legislative body to work with that understands the importance of democracy, the ease of voting, and fully resourcing and putting that energy behind us as we move forward in November."
