City of Valdosta Urges Residents to Refrain from Placing Debris Along Right of Ways

The City of Valdosta is requesting residents to refrain from placing debris along the right-of-way at this time.

Due to ongoing efforts by power companies and emergency personnel to restore services, many areas are still inaccessible, and power lines remain down. To ensure a swift and safe recovery process, the power companies and emergency responders need clear access to the right-of-ways to repair damaged infrastructure. Debris on the right-of-ways could hinder these critical efforts.

We understand the inconvenience caused by the current situation, and we appreciate the community's cooperation in allowing emergency and utility crews to complete their work efficiently. Please hold off on moving any storm debris until further notice.

The City will notify residents when it is safe to begin placing debris for collection. For additional updates and information, please follow the City of Valdosta's social media channels or visit our website at www.valdostacity.com.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to restore our community.
