K9 Officer Training Occurring on July 18

Residents may notice an increased presence of law enforcement officials in the downtown area on Thursday, July 18, as local K9 officers conduct training near High Street and the intersection of Main Street and Wilson Avenue.

There is no cause for concern. However, motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution when traveling through the downtown area to ensure the safety of the officers and should refrain from approaching any of the K9s.

Training will continue through approximately 5 p.m.
