Artist Reception for "Carriers", a solo exhibition by Alexandria Douziech

"Carriers" is a sculpture and video installation that pays tribute to the overlooked women, who constitute nearly half of the global agricultural workforce. Ask Valley-Answers to Your Questions

We've heard you! LAVC wants to help you, so here's the answers to most asked questions we heard this week.

How do I reset my password on my Student Portal?

There are two options for you select from to reset your password:

  • Option #1: If you know your LACCD student email, you can reset your password at Microsoft Online Password Reset. When prompted, enter your LACCD student email and follow the CAPTCHA prompts.
  • Option #2: If you do not know your student email, Admissions and Records can reset the password. You may either visit them in person with a valid physical ID, or go the A&R live chat on Cranium Cafe. (In Cranium Cafe, use the "Guest Registration" login to gain access. You will need to create a quick temporary account to gain access to the Admissions Lobby.) Please have your computer camera on and a valid photo ID ready.

How do I log onto Cranium Café?

Follow these steps to log into Cranium Café:

  1. Find the department lobby that you wish to enter (for example, Admissions Lobby)
  2. Agree to the Informed Consent Statement
  3. Choose either "Current Students" or "Guest Registration" for prospective students (if this option is selected you will need to register now for a quick temporary account)
  4. Select reason for the visit
  5. Join lobby and an agent will be with you soon!

Do you have Armenian, Russian or Spanish speakers who can help me?

Please contact the department you want to reach, and the staff can connect you with finding an available employee who can provide language translation assistance.

Find answers to your general questions and get help registering at the Welcome Center. It's open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. & Friday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. (except on holidays).

Need to use a Computer, Copier, or Printer?

Stop by the ARC Computer Commons in LARC 234 on the 2nd floor of the Library. We have computers, B&W and color printing and copying, a high-resolution scanner, two study rooms, and dedicated staff to assist you. We're open on Monday-Thursday 7 a.m.-7:15 p.m., and Friday 7 a.m.-4 p.m.; except on holidays.

Child Development Center Accepting Applications for Children

The Child Development Center is now accepting applications for the Fall semester for the Preschool program (2-4 yrs) and the School Age After School Program (TK-6th grade). For more information and to request an application, please contact the Child Development Center.

Winter 2025 Schedule Available Online on September 25

Twilight Tutoring: Evening Study Lounge & Tutoring

Starting September 24: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 pm-10 pm in LARC 226

Need a place to study in the evenings with free coffee and snacks? Visit the ARC's Study Lounge for Twilight Tutoring with comfy chairs, couches, tables, and whiteboards. It's the perfect place to study or connect with a tutor for math, statistics, or writing. See the flyerfor more details

Decoding the Ballot

Wednesday, October 23 from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Skybox Conference Room

Join us for Decoding the Ballot discussion with a representative from the League of Women Voters - Los Angeles. They will give a comprehensive overview of the pros and cons of each ballot measure and proposition on the California ballot.
