City of New Orleans Announces Website for Updates on School Zone Cameras

City of New Orleans has created a website for residents to obtain information regarding school zone cameras. The Department of Public Works (DPW) has been and is continuing to update all school zone cameras to comply with newly enacted state laws.

Act No 103 requires that school zone cameras shall only operate during specific times: "Devices shall only be operated one hour before and one hour after the beginning of a school day, and one hour before and one hour after the end of a school day."

To align with this new regulation, DPW is actively reprogramming flashing beacons and updating signage at school zones throughout the city.

Residents can access information regarding which school zone cameras are currently operating, along with the hours of operation, by visiting: https://nola.gov/get-school-zone-times/.

Any school zone tickets issued outside of the applicable time frame will be dismissed. Residents with concerns regarding a ticket received, are encouraged to email the Parking Adjudication Office at [email protected] for assistance.

DPW will continue to provide public updates as more school zone cameras are activated.
