Gilmer Street closures planned for Monday, Oct. 14-Tuesday, Oct. 15

KILLEEN, Texas (Oct. 11, 2024) - The City of Killeen Department of Engineering will be closing Gilmer Street from McArthur Drive to West Church Avenue starting Monday, Oct. 14 and Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, as part of the Gilmer Street Reconstruction, to adjust the existing sewer connections.

The work includes the excavation, removal and installation of a new sewer line.

The contractor will have a traffic control plan in place and will detour traffic around the work area. Motorists should anticipate delays and are asked to use caution and obey traffic control devices.
