Monday's highlights


Registration:
It's open today from 6:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Registration Desk 1 (near the Petrus and Palmer meeting rooms). Grab your name tag - and some swag! And for you early risers, don't forget to swing by the Cristal Ballroom for a buffet-style breakfast from 7-8 a.m.

Get oriented: For those new to Summit (welcome!), the supplier orientation session will prepare you for a week full of learning, collaboration and more. Supplier Orientation is set for 8-8:30 a.m. in Mouton.


Make refreshing new connections:
Get ready to meet, greet and talk shop at The Connect, a reverse expo-style networking session that fosters personalized conversations and targeted networking. Suppliers can choose to strike up discussions with any of the 900 healthcare providers stationed at tables throughout the Lafite Ballroom, as well as members of the Children's Hospital Association and Provista. Plus - with an endless supply of refreshments and music - it's the perfect place to recharge for the day ahead.

Turn talk into action

Today's featured education sessions, all of which are set for 12:30-3 p.m., include:

  • Knowledge Connect: Data and Insights Forum (Bandol), which will spotlight success stories of how providers use Vizient's data and analytics resources to drive cost efficiencies, improve performance and achieve clinical improvements.
  • The Vizient PSO: Evolving and Adapting to Advance Patient Safety (Meursault), where providers will share leading practices and innovative approaches to address healthcare challenges, including how to achieve efficient patient flow, improve patient portal use, prevent diagnostic errors and more.
  • Spend Management Data and Digital Forum (Margaux), an interactive session that will explore key strategies to harness data and technology for effective spend management. Vizient's evolving capabilities will be highlighted during collaborative discussions, voice-of-customer sessions and real-world case studies that illustrate how digital solutions and data science drive access, commitment and resource stewardship in spend management.

Opening general session: Our official Vizient Connections Summit kickoff is set for 3:15-4:45 p.m. in the Cristal Ballroom and will feature a keynote by Dr. Fritz François, executive vice president and vice dean, chief of hospital operations, at NYU Langone Health. Dr. François oversees all patient care activity on the Manhattan campus, ensuring the highest levels of quality and safety. Throughout his career, he's been recognized for his research and efforts to foster diversity and reduce health disparities. His work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the American College of Gastroenterology, among others.

Want to delve into more data? Explore the power of integrated data at Vizient and Qualtrics: Insights from Bringing Clinical and Patient Data Together, which will take place from 10:30-11:15 a.m. in Alsace. The session will delve into the groundbreaking collaboration between Vizient and Qualtrics, exploring the integration of clinical and patient experience data and showcasing insights from the pilot phase of the platform. You'll hear directly from pilot participants about their experiences and how the platform led to more effective and targeted patient interventions, including the correlation between higher-than-expected length of stay and patient experience scores.


Recognizing supplier top performance


Our annual Supplier Awards honor supplier partners for their commitment to improving healthcare for providers and patients. Categories include Supplier Partner of the Year, National Account Leadership Award and Diverse Supplier of the Year, among many others.

  • Pharmacy Vision Awards reception: Celebrate the exceptional contributions of pharmacy program participants and Alluma clients in advancing the pharmacy practice. The reception is set for 1:30-3 p.m. in Avignon.
  • Poster sessions: Glean insights from healthcare colleagues whose tireless commitment to boosting performance across their institutions has led to truly impressive results. "The poster sessions spark unparalleled conversations on successful healthcare improvement strategies," said Juli Hermanson, Vizient senior director, member education. "Sharing firsthand insights in areas such as workforce, technology, sites of care and health equity inspires collaborative learning, reflection and evolution."
