Wooden Pier Fire

The New York State Police are seeking the public's assistance.

On July 12, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m. the New York State Police and Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to the Hempstead Lake State Park pier for reports of a fire on a large wooden pier. Upon their arrival, Lakeview Fire Department was putting out a fire on the structure of the pier.

The New York State Police is asking for any witnesses and anyone with information regarding this fire to please call Investigators at 516-743-4168.
