This is your USD News Minute

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, learn more about inspiring Toreros who are lighting the way forward. All month, Univision is spotlighting different members of the USD community, telling their stories. Right now, you can watch videos profiling Dr. Claudia Avila and men's soccer player Cesar Behena. See the links below for more.

Also Thursday, discover some of the incredible initiatives being organized on and off campus by USD's students and faculty. The Changemaker Hub is hosting a showcase highlighting the ways many departments and initiatives across campus are impacting our community. Lunch will be provided and students will have a chance to earn a career readiness point! That's at UC Forum C Thursday at 12:30 pm.

Shop sustainably as you move into your new place for the school year! USD's office of Sustainability is hosting its Swap Meet tomorrow from 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. in Paseo de Colachis. Scoop up lightly-used, second hand items -- and explore all that the student vendors have to offer!
