Starting November 25, 2024, CVWD and its Contractor, WEKA Inc., will complete a nonpotable pipeline installation at the intersection of Fred Waring Dr. and Warner Trail. CVWD expects to complete construction by January 3, 2025.
Construction hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Warner Trail's southbound lanes will be closed south of Fred Waring Drive. See map.
The portion of the project will allow the expansion of the NPW Pipeline system to maximize the use of recycled water instead of pumping groundwater for irrigation on the Tennis Gardens outdoor landscaping. Using nonpotable water safeguards the Coachella Valley groundwater basin for future generations. In addition, it addresses long-term water management goals to maintain water reliability by increasing the supply of recycled water, source substitution, and water efficiency across all customer sectors.
