Garland Wastewater Treatment Plants Earn Peak Performance Awards

Garland's Wastewater Treatment Plants were nationally recognized for their hard work and commitment to excellence at the recent National Association of Clean Water Agencies conference in Buffalo, New York. These awards recognize clean water utilities that have made outstanding contributions to environmental protection, their communities and the water sector.

The Duck Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant earned a Gold Peak Performance Award for achieving 100% compliance during 2023 with all Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit requirements. The Rowlett Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant earned the Silver Peak Performance Award for achieving no more than five permit exceedances during 2023, with all TPDES permit requirements.
