Michigan Military Veterans Gala to Recognize Service Members and Veterans

LANSING, Mich. - Michigan will hold its fourth annual Military & Veterans Gala Nov. 2 from 6 - 11 p.m. at the L.V. Eberhard Center located at 301 Fulton St. W, Suite 210 in Grand Rapids. The formal event is a celebration of Michigan's National Guard members, veterans and advocates.

In addition to music, dancing and food, the night will include the presentation of awards in nine categories including Veteran of the Year, Veteran-Friendly Volunteer of the Year, Veteran Service Provider of the Year, Community Outreach and Regional Engagement, MVAA & Trust Fund Exceptional Service, Michigan Army National Guard Recruiter of the Year, Michigan Air National Guard Recruiter of the Year, DMVA Employee of the Year and VA Employee of the Year.

"We are extremely excited to host our fourth annual Michigan Military & Veterans Gala celebrating the accomplishments of Michigan National Guard Soldiers and Airmen, and veterans and advocates who answered the call to serve from their state and nation," said U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul D. Rogers, adjutant general and director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. "The gala will also pay tribute to our military families and caregivers for their ongoing support of our service members and their missions."
