Bridge the Gap Seminar: The place to be Sept. 12-13

All Iowa lawyers are invited to "bridge the gap" at the 2024 Bridge the Gap Seminar, a comprehensive continuing legal education (CLE) event designed to bridge the disconnect between the legal theory acquired in law school and its practical application in the workforce.

Scheduled for September 12-13, the Bridge the Gap Seminar will take place at the ISBA Building in Des Moines, with a live webinar option available. Lunch is provided to in-person attendees. This two-day seminar encompasses an extensive array of presentations including:

- The First Rule of Conflicts: Who is Your Client? - Nick Critelli, CritelliLaw, P.C.

- Federal Case Law Update - Chief Magistrate Judge Kelly K.E. Mahoney, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Iowa

- Fair Labor Standards and Non-competes - Frank Harty, Nyemaster Goode PC

- Starting Strong: Techniques for an Effective Opening Statement - Tim Semelroth, RSH Legal

- Basic Guide to Trust Administration - Christine Halbrook, Halbrook Law Firm

- Medicaid Qualification, Miller Trusts, and Related Issues - David Grooters, Pappajohn Shriver Eide & Nielsen PC

- Insurance and Estate Planning - Jeff Ditsworth, TrueNorth Companies

From new attorneys looking to get their foot in the door to seasoned professionals seeking to stay on top of their game, Bridge the Gap offers something for everyone. The program has been approved for 15 state CLE hours which includes 1 ethics and 1 wellness hour.
