Pueblo Memorial Airport Invites Public to Open House for New Essential Air Service Provider in 2025

PUEBLO- The Pueblo Memorial Airport (PUB) is inviting the public to participate in an open house held at the airport terminal on Tuesday Aug. 20, 2024, from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. PUB will be hosting multiple airlines who will be available to interact and expand on their proposals to provide Essential Air Service to Pueblo.

"We're inviting our community members who are our stakeholders to help give Pueblo Memorial Airport feedback on who the next airline provider should be at PUB," said Director of Aviation Greg Pedroza. "The Mayor's Office of the City of Pueblo will be submitting a letter of support to the Department of Transportation with recommendation for the next service provider."

The Department of Transportation (DOT), and not the City of Pueblo, has the ultimate decision-making power in the choice of EAS provider for Pueblo's air service.

Five airlines have submitted their proposals to the DOT for consideration to provide EAS to Pueblo. This open house is a chance for each airline to provide information to interested community members about their proposals and to engage with and listen to the needs of our community.

The public is invited to hear from Advanced Air, Boutique Air, Breeze Airways, Denver Air Connections and SkyWest Airlines about why they would like to provide air service at Pueblo's airport. Each proposal is unique, so having the opportunity to ask questions and get detailed information will be helpful for the community to make an informed recommendation to the DOT.
