Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 4, 26 & 49
Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-26 and SR-49 for maintenance, construction operations and a special event. Work to occur as follows:

Intermittent traffic breaks from Bonanza Mine Road to Appaloosa Road for construction beginning Monday, September 23, through Friday, September 27, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
State Route 26

One-way traffic control from Jenny Lind Road to Silver Rapids Road for drainage work on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

One-way traffic control from Paloma Road to Campo Seco Turnpike for tree work on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Northbound traffic will be diverted into center turning lane from Treat Avenue to High School Street for the Calaveras High School homecoming parade on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

One-way traffic control from end of passing lane to Magers Way for tree work beginning Monday, September 23, through Friday, September 27, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

One-way traffic control from the Calaveras River to Gold Strike Road for fog seal operation work beginning Monday, September 23, through Friday, September 27, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

One-way traffic control from George Reed Company entrance to the Calaveras/Amador County line for tree work beginning Monday, September 23, through Friday, September 27, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
