On October 30, the annual AMX Awards once again brought together Armenia's leading financial companies. The Armenia Stock Exchange and Central Depository awarded active participants in Armenia's capital market, highlighting their achievements in 2023-2024.
This year's event was distinguished with a new format and in-depth discussions focusing on the development prospects of Armenia's capital market and new opportunities for progress. The meeting became a platform for exchanging ideas, where industry growth trends and innovative solutions were presented, contributing to Armenia's financial market's continuous development and regional competitiveness.
Summing up the 2023 market data, 18 winners in different categories were recognized for their active involvement and impressive performance in the capital market over the past year. Additionally, 3 special awards were presented to employees of various banks and investment companies.
A special recognition award was given to the most active student on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Capital Markets e-Learning Program platform. This educational initiative was made possible by the consistent efforts and negotiations of the Armenia Stock Exchange, which received 30 educational licenses from the EBRD at the beginning of this year. Most licenses have been granted to employees of AMX member organizations, promoting professional development and growth in the sector.
During the event, Hayk Yeganyan, CEO of the Armenia Stock Exchange, and Ani Makaryan, CEO of the Central Depository of Armenia, shared the AMX Group's key reforms and strategic development plans. Their speeches highlighted the commitment to continually improve market infrastructure and foster new investment opportunities, strengthening Armenia's capital market's global competitiveness.
The event featured a panel discussion on "Development and Internationalization of Armenia's Capital Market," led by AMX Group board members and international experts. The moderator was FEAS Secretary General Konstantin Saroyan and the speakers included Chairman of the AMX Supervisory Board Mateusz Zawistowski, Deputy Chairman of AMX Supervisory Board and CDA Supervisory Board member Michael Volter, CDA Supervisory Board Member Daniel Eric Stonecipher, EBRD Associate Director of Financial and Capital Markets Development Rada Tomova, and AMX Management Board Member Grzegorz Kucharski.
