Secretary-General of ASEAN to participate in the 57th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic

At the invitation of H.E. Saleumxay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao People's Democratic Republic (PDR), Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn will lead the ASEAN Secretariat's Delegation to participate in the 57^th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM), the ASEAN Post Ministerial Conferences, the 25^th ASEAN Plus Three Foreign Ministers' Meeting, the 14^th East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Meeting, and the 31^st ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), hosted by Lao PDR as ASEAN Chair for 2024, which will take place in Vientiane, Lao PDR, on 24-28 July 2024, under the theme "ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience." While in Vientiane, Dr. Kao will hold bilateral meetings with Foreign Ministers from ASEAN Member States and ASEAN's external partners to exchange views on the latest developments happening around the region and the world as well as to explore new ideas on how to further strengthen and broaden cooperation and partnership towards realising the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and beyond. Dr. Kao is also scheduled to hold Annual Interface with AICHR Representatives on the margins of the 57^th AMM and related meetings.
