System Named 2024 Best Workplace in Health Care

ARLINGTON, Texas - Texas Health Resources has placed No.1 on the 2024 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care List, based on an analysis by Great Place To Work®. It is the ninth year the organization tops the nationwide ranking.

This is the 10th year in a row that Texas Health has made the list.

"Our strong culture ties back to Our Texas Health Promise: Individuals Caring For Individuals, Together," said Barclay Berdan, FACHE, CEO of Texas Health. "We are committed to providing compassionate, quality care for our patients while helping our employees thrive."

The Best Workplaces in Health Care award is based on analysis of survey responses from over 185,000 employees at Great Place To Work Certified companies in the healthcare industry. The analysis measures what creates great workplaces, including key behaviors and processes that drive trust in management, connection with colleagues and loyalty to the company.

Using data compiled from the surveys, Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine rank companies in small, medium and large categories; Texas Health was ranked among large companies.

"We are proud to be recognized for building and sustaining an organization that promotes the successes and best work of our team members as we serve our local communities," said Carla Dawson, chief people officer at Texas Health.

This award is among multiple recognitions that Texas Health has earned this year. Last month, Texas Health was named to the 2024 Companies That Care® list by PEOPLE magazine and Great Place to Work®.

In April, Texas Health ranked No. 29 on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For® list - the highest among health systems recognized in 2024. Texas Health ranked No. 3 on Fortune's Best Workplaces in Texas list - the highest healthcare system and North Texas-based organization to receive this recognition this year.
