Plattsburgh male arrested for violating an order of protection

On October 4, 2024, State Police members arrested Adam M. Petell, age 39, of Plattsburgh, NY, for criminal contempt 1st and aggravated family offense.

On October 4, 2024, at approximately 2:52 p.m., Troopers responded to Cornelia Street in the town of Plattsburgh for a domestic dispute. An investigation determined Petell and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, and during the argument, Petell made threatening allegations towards the victim. An active order of protection is in place, protecting the victim.

Petell was arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court, where he was remanded to Clinton County Jail without bail.
