Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with President of Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry about New Economic Policy Action Plan and cooperation with the Chamber

On Monday in the Carmelite Monastery, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with President of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry László Parragh about the 21 measures of the New Economic Policy Action Plan, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister's press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

At the meeting, the parties established that in consequence of the coronavirus pandemic and the war, the world economy had changed. In order for Hungary to make itself successful also in this changed situation it needs new solutions and new economic policy instruments. With the policy of economic neutrality, in 2025 it will be possible to reach an economic growth between 3 and 6 per cent. Mr Orbán said the New Economic Policy Action Plan rests on three pillars: increasing the purchasing power of incomes, guaranteeing the availability of affordable housing and the Demján Sándor Programme, the purpose of which is to double the sizes of businesses.

At the meeting, Mr Orbán said he regards the cooperation of many longs years between the government and the chamber of commerce as successful and fruitful, and the government is ready to continue this cooperation, Mr Havasi reported.
