WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined "Kudlow" on Fox Business Network to discuss President Trump ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange tomorrow and the Senate sinking Democrats' radical nominee for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). He also emphasized the importance of getting much-needed economic assistance for farmers who are struggling in Joe Biden's economy.
Excerpts from Senator Tuberville's interview can be found below, and his full interview can be watched on YouTube or Rumble.
ON PRESIDENT TRUMP RINGING THE BELL AT THE NYSE
TUBERVILLE: "Well, it's a new morning in America, Larry. Looking forward to President Trump ringing that bell, and it's already started. You know that, I know that. I'm getting calls all the time from small businesses back in my state of Alabama. They are so glad that these regulations and these taxes will be adjusted. I mean, this administration with all this climate hoax nonsense, they almost put people under and there's still people trying to dig themselves out. But there's hope at the end of the day, we see the light at the end of the tunnel. President Trump is gonna be a blessing. It's Christmas, Larry, and new things are coming for the American people."
ON SENATE TANKING DEMOCRATS' NLRB NOMINEE
KUDLOW: "I know it is Christmas, a great time. […] Senator Tuberville, the other thing is Chuck Schumer tried to stack the National Labor Relations Board with this McFerran woman, but it turns out that Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema stopped it. Now that is a good thing, it seems to me, because [they wanted to do] that for the unions and to not have fair elections."
TUBERVILLE: "Well, it's the end of the year, Larry, and the Democrats are trying to stuff their stockings with everything they can get-judges, people on different boards. We were able to block this one today and I'll tell you how important this is. The National Labor Relations Board, basically, right now, is controlled by the Democrats. Had she have passed today, she would have kept control with the other four people on the board for the next two years, the Democrats would have controlled that. President Trump would not have control. Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema stepped in, stepped up the plate and said, 'This is not right. We do not need to do this.'They blocked her, and we're gonna have an opportunity. This lady actually came twice, Larry, to Alabama to try to create a union at Amazon and create a union at Mercedes Benz. She called foul on two elections. We had to redo them. It was a mess. She is a true socialist communist."
KUDLOW: "Yeah. Wow. I'm awfully sorry she didn't make the cut, and I'm also proud of Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema."
ON THE URGENT NEED FOR ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE FOR FARMERS
KUDLOW: "Democrats blocking a Farm Bill-you want to help the farmers. Can you just give us thirty seconds, Senator?"
TUBERVILLE: "Our farmers are going out of business, Larry. These input costs that Joe Biden has pushed on our farmers the last few years, it is devastating. I get call after call: 'Coach, we're having to sell our farm.' We lost 150,000 farms, Larry, in the last few years. We'll lose 100,000 just this year alone. The prices have tanked. The input costs are up. They can't survive, but that's what this big government wanted. They wanna control all these farms and move them to corporations, and they might have got a foot in the door with this, but we've got to fight back. President Trump will help them."
KUDLOW: "Alright. He surely will. He helped them before, and he will again. Senator Tommy Tuberville, thank you, sir. We appreciate it very, very much, as always."
Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans' Affairs, and HELP Committees.
