On October 8, 2024, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Kevend Castillo, age 27, of 21 Washburn Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with the Intent to Deliver 1 oz -1 kilogram of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; 2) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; and 3) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl. Mr. Castillo was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and later arraigned in Sixth District Court.

On October 8, 2024, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Matthew McLaughlin, age 39, of 23 Chandler Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance - Methamphetamines; and 2) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl. Mr. McLaughlin was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and later arraigned in Third District Court.

On October 8, 2024, members of the RI Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Lorenzo Roman, age 18, of 21 Primrose Lane, Johnston, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Burglary/Felony Assault/Conspiracy related to an armed home invasion out of the Cranston Police Department. Mr. Roman was taken into custody without incident and turned directly over to the Cranston Police Department.

On October 8, 2024, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Chad DeJesus, age 37, of 14 Wilbur Street, Apt. 1N, Fall River, Massachusetts, for Indecent Solicitation of a Child. Mr. DeJesus was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and to the Third District Court for arraignment. The Honorable Associate Judge O'Neill set bail at $2,500 with surety and special bail conditions of restricted Internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.
