Good afternoon. Let me start today's briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Hong Kyun, together with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia Jorge Rojas Rodriguez, will hold the fourth Korea-Colombia High-level Policy Consultation on August 12.

Colombia is the only Latin American country that fought alongside Korea in the Korean War, and is a key partner of Korea with which it has established "Strategic Cooperative Partnership."

The fourth High-level Policy Consultation, which comes four years after the third of its kind held in a virtual format amid the COVID-19 pandemic, will mark Vice Minister Kim's first high-level bilateral meeting with a Latin American country since his taking up the current position.

In the meeting, the two countries will engage in an extensive exchange of views in various areas, including political affairs, economy and development cooperation.
