Three Juveniles Arrested and a Firearm Recovered in Roxbury

At about 1:45 AM, on Sunday, November 10, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Two 15-year-old Juvenile Males, and a 16-year-old Juvenile Male, on firearm and property offenses.

Officers were on patrol in the Grove Hall area of Blue Hill Avenue when they observed two scooters operating at a high rate of speed. Officers observed that the front scooter had two occupants and the rear scooter had one occupant. Officers took notice that none of the individuals on the scooters were wearing helmets.

Officers followed the scooters, and located one of the occupants now walking towards a residence on Edgewood Street. Officers made contact with the individual and advised him of the numerous traffic violations that he had committed. Officers were able to place the suspect into handcuffs.

As officers were speaking with the suspect, they observed the second suspect now driving down the wrong way on Edgewood Street on the opposite sidewalk. The scooter then struck the officers' parked cruiser and attempted to flee the accident.

Officers were quickly able to stop the operator of the scooter and placed him into handcuffs. The passenger on the scooter fell off during the accident and immediately began to sprint towards Blue Hill Avenue. A foot pursuit ensued and officers were able to locate the suspect as he was attempting to conceal himself under a parked car.

Officers began to canvas the flight path of the suspect, and located a discarded firearm underneath a motor vehicle. The firearm was later determined to be a Ghost Gun with one round in the chamber and eleven rounds in the magazine.

Officers inspected the scooters for any damage and observed that their ignitions were manipulated to be operated without keys. Officers also observed that the scooters had multiple panels removed which exposed the wires underneath. Officers determined that there were no registration sticks or proof of ownership for either scooter.

The 15-year-old Juvenile male was placed under arrest and charged with Delinquent to wit; Carry a Firearm Without a License, Delinquent to wit; Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card, Delinquent to wit; Carry a Loaded Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, and Delinquent to wit; Trespassing.

The 15-year-old and 16-year-old Juvenile males were placed under arrest and charged with Delinquent to wit; Receive Stolen Property.

All three suspects are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
