STORM UPDATES

Crews are assessing damage throughout the City of Bettendorf after strong storms swept through the area on July 14, 2024 and July 15, 2024. We will post updates here of any closures/issues. Please be patient as we continue clean-up efforts.

SPECIAL TREE/BRUSH MATERIAL COLLECTION
NO STICKERS OR BUNDLING REQUIRED THROUGH JULY 26, 2024 (OR AUGUST 2, 2024 FOR RED AREA BELOW)

The City will collect tree/brush material that is:

  • Under six inches in diameter
  • Cut to a maximum length of five feet
  • Placed at the curb in front of your home (including those who receive collection from an alley)
  • Smaller yard waste material placed in an approved yard waste bag less than 50 pounds

NOTE: Tree debris, branches, trunks, and stumps resulting from the removal of trees by a tree service contractor will not be collected by the City and must be removed by a licensed hauler at the expense of the owner or tree service.

UPDATES
JULY 16, 2024 at 4pm - All lanes on Grant Street are fully open from 8th Street to 12th Street.

JULY 16, 2024 at 2pm -
The traffic lights located at Interstate 74 and State/Grant Streets are now back on.

JULY 16, 2024 at 8:25am
- Grant Street from 8th Street to 12th Street is back open, with one lane open to traffic from 8th Street to 10th Street.


JULY 15, 2024 at 8:25pm
- Grant Street from 8th Street to 12th Street (west of Interstate 74) is closed due to fallen trees and downed power lines. Please stay clear of this area so crews can assess the damage and clear debris.
