New! FTC chair to address AVMA audience

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chair Lina M. Khan will open the 2024 AVMA Veterinary Business and Economic Forum with a special address updating attendees on non-compete agreements and other issues of key concern in veterinary medicine.

Khan's address is a new addition to next week's meeting agenda. The FTC is focused on a range of issues of interest to the veterinary profession-including mergers and private-equity acquisitions as well as non-competes.

This will be the second consecutive year in which Khan has presented at the AVMA Veterinary Business and Economic Forum. Her session at noon Central Time on Tuesday, October 8, will be a can't-miss opportunity for every veterinary business leader to hear from her first-hand.

Still time to register

The FTC chair's address adds to an all-star line-up for the forum, which also includes renowned organizational psychologist Adam Grant, global futurist Anders Sörman-Nilsson, and veterinary practitioners eager to share knowledge and expertise to help others grow thriving businesses.

The 2024 AVMA Veterinary Business and Economic Forum takes place online October 8-9, so it's not too late to decide to attend. The meeting has an afternoons-only agenda that fits neatly into a busy work schedule. Learn more at avma.org/EconForum.
