President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Hakob Panosyan, the founding President of the ARPA Institute, the foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the founding President of the ARPA Institute, the foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, American-Armenian scientist Hakob Panosyan.

Panosyan created the Alikhanyan National Laboratory with ARPA funds and also founded the first modern blood center in Erebuni Hospital, donated the first modern sequencer for DNA studies to the Institute of Molecular Biology, the necessary scientific research equipment to many institutes and universities, and since 1987, regularly taught current topics of automated control systems in Armenia.

Since then, Hakob Panosyan has often been to Armenia, organizing various activities within the framework of ARPA.

Welcoming the guest, the President highly appreciated his merits in discovering new directions of development in the field of high technology and natural sciences and health care in Armenia.

Over the course of the meeting, views were exchanged on finding new ways of development opportunities and increasing the efficiency of using high technologies in information technology, green energy production, industry, and military industry. In this context, the American-Armenian scientist presented to the President of the Republic several initiatives and programs of their working group in applied science.

At the end of the meeting, the President emphasized his readiness to support the famous scientist and the activities of his working group to the fullest.
