Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 12, 26 & 49

Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Routes 12 (SR-12), SR-26 and SR-49 for maintenance and construction operations. Work to occur as follows:

State Route 12

  • One-way traffic control from Pine Street to Cedar Street for sign/banner work beginning Tuesday, November 19, 2024, through Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

State Route 26

  • One-way traffic control from SR-12 to Double Springs Road for sign/banner work beginning Tuesday, November 19, 2024, through Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Niderost Lane to Higdon Road for utility work on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control at Carson Hill Rest Area for utility work on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Carson Hill Rest Area to Whittle Road for shoulder work beginning Wednesday, November 20, 2024, through Friday, November 22, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Connel Lane to San Antonio Creek for shoulder work beginning Monday, November 18, 2024, through Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
