LAS 35237 - Land Use Permit Application for Boat Storage on Crescent Lake

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Kenai Sportfishing

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35237

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located in Southwestern Alaska at the southern end of Crescent Lake, on the southern side of the point at the lake's outlet into the Crescent River.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of section 13, Township 3 North, Range 21 West Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The applicant, Kenai Sportfishing, is proposing to anchor and store two passenger vessels at the outlet of Crescent Lake to be used for commercial recreation purposes. During the operating season, July through September, the two boats will be anchored just off the beach within the submerged lands of the lake. During the off-season October through June, the boats will be stored on the beach below the ordinary high-water mark with the motors removed.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: July 1, 2023
End: June 30, 2028

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: November 19, 2024

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
