Dr. Luis Videgaray, Senior Lecturer at MIT's Sloan School of Management and Director of MIT's Artificial Intelligence Policy for the World Project, delivers the Central Bank of Barbados' 49th Sir Winston Scott Memorial Lecture on the topic "Global AI Policy and Regulation."

The Honourable Marsha Caddle, M.P., Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology, joins Dr. Videgaray for a post-lecture discussion about the opportunities for the effective use of artificial intelligence in Barbados.

The Sir Winston Scott Memorial Lecture honours Barbados' first native Governor General and is the island's longest running lecture series. Past speakers have included venture capitalist Nicholas Brathwaite; former Nigerian Finance Minister Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who is now Director-General of the World Trade Organisation; technology guru and philanthropist Strive Masiyiwa; and economist Professor Mariana Mazzucato.
