COLUMBUS-School districts located in Adams and Scioto Counties recently received funding from the Trees to Textbooks program administered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry, announced State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).
Adams County will receive a total of $517,603.12 and Scioto County will receive a total of $275,783.77.
"The Trees to Textbook Program is a wonderful way to educate our local students about the importance of trees and wildfire prevention," said Pizzulli. "We must appreciate and take care of the natural parts of our communities."
The program distributes a portion of timber revenue to the county, township, and school district in which the timber harvest took place.
