SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - For the fourth year in a row, Oliver topped the list as the most popular name for baby boys born at Sanford Health in 2024. For girls, a new name climbed to the top of the list. Lainey topped the list as the most popular name for baby girls born at Sanford Health in 2024.
For the second year in a row, Henry clinched the second-place spot for most popular boy names, while Amelia moved up two spots from 2023 to the No. 2 spot for most popular girl names in 2024.
Coming in third place for boys was Liam, up from a tie with the No. 6 spot in 2023. For girls, Evelyn moved down from second place in 2023 to the No. 3 spot in 2024.
In fourth place, there was a three-way tie in the girl's category. Aurora, Charlotte and Nora tied for the No. 4 spot, while Theodore moved up from the No. 6 spot tie with Liam last year to No. 4 spot in 2024.
Wrapping up the top five baby names born at Sanford Health in 2024 was Olivia on the girl's side and Brooks on the boy's side.
